Description
The opportunity covers design modification, fabrication, assembly, factory/shop acceptance testing, packaging, shipping, and delivery of a functional, stand-alone proof-of-concept Neptune Cask Interface Assembly. The contractor must fabricate the mechanical cask interface, design and furnish an integrated self-supporting support stand, provide mounting hardware and associated components, and meet the supplied drawings, specifications, and performance requirements. The scope includes pneumatic drives, bellows, controls, connections, mounting provisions, and support equipment. The proposal must address the fabrication approach, schedule, quality program, personnel and past performance, cost proposal, exceptions, assumptions, and affordability. The contractor must maintain an ISO 9001:2015-or-later quality program, provide detailed quality and fabrication documentation, perform factory acceptance testing and required inspections, and deliver operating and maintenance instructions, drawings, certifications, test reports, and other quality records. The anticipated subcontract is firm fixed price, with performance scheduled from December 1, 2026, through July 31, 2027, and receipt on site required by July 31, 2027.
