Description
Lake County is seeking a contractor to provide professional public auction services for county surplus property, including furniture, technology-related items, office equipment and supplies, vehicles, heavy equipment, road-maintenance equipment, and miscellaneous items. The contractor must collect property from county locations, transport and securely store it at an operational auction facility within 80 miles of the County's Facilities Warehouse, advertise and market the items, conduct public auctions, collect payments and taxes, complete vehicle title transfers, and remit proceeds with detailed electronic sales reports. The contractor must be a Florida-licensed auctioneer and motor vehicle dealer, maintain required licenses, permits, and an auctioneer surety or license and permit bond, and have at least five years of documented experience conducting public auctions for governmental entities in Florida. The proposal must include commission pricing, a proposed solution and staffing plan, sample sales reports, references, financial-stability information, litigation information, required forms and affidavits, addenda acknowledgments, proof of insurance or insurability, and supporting licenses or permits. This is an indefinite-quantity contract with no guaranteed usage or dollar value; the initial term is one year with two optional two-year renewals.
