Description
Lake County is soliciting sealed bids for construction improvements along CR 565/Villa City Road from north of State Road 50 to south of U.S. 27. The project includes roadway widening with shoulders, milling and asphalt resurfacing, pavement reconstruction, ground-in rumble strips, pavement markings, flashing-beacon safety improvements, guardrail work, drainage modifications, driveway and sidewalk improvements, utility coordination, maintenance of traffic, clearing and grubbing, erosion and sediment controls, and related roadway construction. The bid includes a base segment from Lake Emma Road to Lake Arthur Road and two alternates covering Lake Arthur Road to U.S. 27 and James Place to Lake Emma Road. Bidders must be prequalified by the Florida Department of Transportation in Flexible Paving. A 5% bid guarantee based on the base bid is required as a bid bond or letter of credit. The successful contractor must provide 100% performance and payment bonds, required insurance, and comply with federal-aid requirements, including prevailing wages, Buy America provisions, DBE reporting, and a minimum 40% self-performance requirement. Responses must be submitted through the solicitation response portal.
