Description
The City of Lincoln is soliciting a contractor to provide library van delivery services Monday through Saturday, six days per week, 52 weeks per year except designated holidays. The contractor must provide the van, labor, supervision, management, and materials necessary to operate the route. Daily service includes approximately nine stops, increasing to ten on Wednesdays, with routes serving the U.S. Post Office, Bennett Martin Public Library, Lincoln City Libraries branch locations, and the Lincoln Public Schools District Office. The contractor will transport library books, magazines, audiovisual materials, equipment, computer equipment, inter-office materials, some monies, mail, crates and tubs, library supplies, custodial supplies, and donated materials. The vehicle must be a 12- to 14-foot box truck or equivalent, and drivers must have valid Nebraska driver's licenses, good driving records, and completed background checks. Bidders must have at least two years of similar experience and provide three comparable references. Subcontracting requires prior Library Board approval. The contract is for one year from November 29, 2026, through November 28, 2027, with three additional one-year renewal options. Pricing is based on a fixed daily rate, with an optional price for additional locations. Responses must be submitted through the City/County Ebid system and include the required electronic bid responses, references, and Foreign Adversary Contracting Prohibition Act certification. Required insurance includes commercial general liability, automobile liability, and workers' compensation/employers' liability coverage.
