Description
The City of Long Beach is soliciting bids for the one-time printing and mailing of 18,500 full-color 2027 calendars. Specifications include 9-by-12-inch calendars with 24 inside text pages and a four-page cover, four-color process printing with bleeds, varnish on all pages, 80-pound gloss cover stock, 80-pound dull text stock, saddle-stitch binding, one hanging drill hole, and printed white mailing envelopes. The contractor must provide at least two PDF proofs, paper and envelope samples, and samples of similar calendar work. The contractor must perform all calendar printing in-house using a commercial-grade printing press; outsourcing or subcontracting the actual printing is prohibited. Calendars must be inserted and sealed in envelopes, boxed in increments of 100, and delivered by December 10, 2026. The contractor must sort 16,792 calendars into 30 postal routes and deliver them with the required paperwork to the Long Beach Post Office, with the remaining calendars delivered to the Parks & Recreation Office. Artwork will be supplied as a high-resolution PDF by November 20, 2026. A bid bond or certified check equal to 10% of the quoted price is required.
