The Northern Arizona VA Healthcare System (NAVAHCS) requires rental services for a temporary condensate return tank system. This system will replace the existing rental unit serving the boiler plant, located outdoors adjacent to the current condensate system at 500 N. Highway 89, Prescott, AZ 86313. The contractor will be responsible for the delivery, installation, connection, operation, maintenance, repair, and final removal of the temporary system. The rental duration is estimated to be a minimum of six months, with the system needing to be fully operational, leak-free, safe, and compliant with all applicable codes and VA standards. The condensate/return system must be designed for 150 psi and 250°F, with piping stresses not exceeding allowable limits per ASME B31.1. It requires a temporary 800-1,200-gallon ASME-rated condensate return tank, sized for a minimum of 20 minutes of storage at peak plant output. The system must include duplex condensate pumps with a receiver, capable of handling 100% of system demand in a duty/standby configuration with automatic alternation and failure switchover, along with emergency power for pumps and controls. Piping must be Schedule 80 welded or socket-welded carbon steel, with Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic (FRP) pipe prohibited. The contractor must provide temporary electrical connections, tank enclosure, insulation, and structural support if not using a trailer. All work on VA property must adhere to VA regulations and safety protocols. OSHA 10-hour training is required for all personnel performing work, with OSHA 30-hour training for the project's Competent Person. Emergency response time on-site is within 4 hours, with restoration to full operational status within 8 hours for critical failures.
