The City of Tucson is soliciting proposals for an AI-powered service automation solution aimed at reducing the workload on city staff and enhancing service delivery to residents and internal users. The initiative seeks a single, scalable platform capable of handling multi-channel interactions, completing transactions on behalf of users, integrating with existing city systems, and expanding to new departments over time. The proposed solution should offer modern service automation capabilities. The project is being facilitated through the Axia Cooperative purchasing program, with an estimated annual nationwide volume of $25,000,000. The solution will be implemented in phases, starting with the IT Department Service Desk for internal support and then expanding to the Tucson Water Customer Service Solution Center for public-facing interactions, with a potential for city-wide expansion in phase three. Key functionalities include automating routine IT support, managing user accounts and access, ticket management, technical troubleshooting, and providing guidance on software and procurement. For Tucson Water, the system will handle billing inquiries, service requests, work order status, and transactional capabilities like payments, while also supporting outbound campaigns and integrating with various city systems.
