Description
The Town of Gilbert is issuing a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for third-party inspection services to assist with private fiber deployment projects. The consultant will provide part-time to full-time field inspectors to ensure compliance with applicable standards during the installation of fiber optic networks. Services include visual inspections of dry utility installations (e.g., verifying conduit depth, potholing existing utilities, ensuring work meets MAG and Town standards, barricading work areas, surface restoration, and final inspections) and temporary traffic control setups (e.g., verifying conformance with approved permits and MUTCD, attending pre-construction meetings, coordinating with Town traffic control staff). The consultant must provide all necessary equipment including PPE, a vehicle with flashing strobe, laptop, and cell phone. The contract term is from execution through June 30, 2027, with up to four optional one-year renewals.
