Description
The Defense Health Agency (DHA) requires a buyout of 118 Hewlett Packard (HP) multi-purpose printers currently leased from MinBurn Technology Group under contract HT001521F0070 for Fort Polk. This action is necessary to prevent the contractor from removing all printing capabilities from the facility upon the contract's expiration on July 8, 2026. Failure to secure the printers would critically impact DHA patients' ability to receive essential documents, such as discharge instructions, and hinder hospital administrative functions. The procurement strategy involves a two-part action: first, a sole-source buyout of the existing printer fleet from MinBurn, and second, a competitive procurement for annual support services among Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB) on DHA's NASA SEWP Printing Imaging catalog. This approach is deemed the most cost-effective, with the buyout representing a fraction of the cost of a full lease or new printer purchase.
