Lee County Electrical Cooperative is soliciting proposals from qualified construction contractors for one continuous, approximately 300-foot-by-34-foot pre-engineered aluminum vehicular canopy at its Immokalee Service Center. The canopy scope includes foundations, excavation, concrete, anchorage, aluminum posts and framing, metal pan roofing, fascia, gutters, downspouts, drainage, fire extinguishers, permitting support, engineering, inspections, cleanup, closeout documentation, and warranty. Bidders may propose on the canopy scope, the civil scope, or both. The civil site improvements scope includes clearing and removals, gravel and asphalt improvements, grading, drainage and detention work, utility protection, erosion and sediment controls, site lighting, associated electrical work, testing, restoration, and as-built documentation. Proposals must include a cover letter, company profile, relevant experience from the last five years, project approach and schedule, detailed cost proposal, at least three recent client references, and completed applicable exhibits and certifications. A bid bond equal to 10% of the bid amount is required, and the contract documents also reference performance and payment bonds.
