Description
The Town of Davie, as lead agency for the Southeast Florida Governmental Purchasing Cooperative Group, is soliciting bids for as-needed scrap metal recycling services. The awarded contractor must provide containers at no charge, visit collection locations, collect and transport scrap metal, operate a state-certified scale, classify materials by applicable Fastmarkets AMM grades, and properly recycle or dispose of ferrous and nonferrous metals. Materials may include steel, copper, brass, bronze, aluminum, stainless steel, lead, zinc, nickel, tin, magnesium, mixed metal assemblies, equipment, fixtures, fencing, doors, cabinets, and other recyclable metals. Optional e-scrap services may also be priced but are not required. The contractor will train Town staff on material separation, service containers within 24 hours of notification or by the close of business the next day Monday through Saturday, provide replacement containers, and submit monthly payment and weight documentation. Compensation is based on the percentage of the applicable Fastmarkets AMM index paid to the Town, with no guaranteed minimum quantities. The solicitation requires electronic submission through the Town's e-procurement portal and includes vendor references, ownership and eligibility information, affidavits and certifications, proof of insurance, business registration, and applicable licenses or certifications.
