Description
Maquoketa Community School District is soliciting a single-prime contractor to remove the existing running track and adjacent surface areas and install a new synthetic running track surfacing system. The work includes track and field event surfacing, lane and event markings, gates, and modifications to the long jump pit, along with related site clearing, protection, cleanup, and restoration. Bidders must submit a sealed lump-sum bid with 5% bid security. The successful contractor must provide performance and separate labor and material payment bonds, insurance, applicable licensing, background screening, and required project submittals. The specifications require an experienced synthetic-track installer, including American Sports Builders Association Certified Track Builder credentials and at least 50 similar synthetic track installations. The specified system includes Rekortan BSS running track surfacing, structural spray, and black EPDM components, with a five-year surface warranty.
