The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Mississippi Valley Division, is offering a free 11-hour Construction Quality Management (CQM) course for contractors. The course is required for certification of Contractor Quality Control System Managers. It covers eight modules including introduction, contractor's review, quality management planning, preconstruction conference, submittals, quality management during construction, making the system work, and the resident management system. The course is a facilitated video course with video clips, reading segments, and class discussions. Students must attend all sessions and pass a written test with a 70% to receive a certificate valid for 5 years. Class size is limited to 20 students. Priority is given to contractors working on current or upcoming contracts within the Mississippi Valley Division.
