Description
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New England District, is conducting market research for construction services to repair the float well inlet pipe and replace weathered or damaged staff gauges. Anticipated work includes installing a cofferdam, cleaning and internally lining the 3-inch cast-iron pipe, conducting pre- and post-installation CCTV inspections, repairing a pipe segment in the slash zone, and protecting and encasing the external pipe in concrete. Replacement staff gauges are expected to consist of pressure-treated posts with enamel-coated metal measuring strips. Interested firms are asked to submit a capabilities package describing their business classification, qualifications, and experience. The package must include at least two examples of relevant projects performed within the past seven years, identify any supporting subcontractors and their relevant qualifications and experience, and provide proof of bonding capability. Responses are limited to 20 pages. This is a Sources Sought market survey, not a solicitation for proposals. The estimated construction cost is $350,000–$500,000; construction is anticipated to begin in summer 2027, with work timing dependent on pool levels and weather.
