Description
The Town of Vernon Department of Public Works is soliciting a contractor to accept leaves collected through the town’s curbside leaf collection program, haul them from three designated leaf-bin sites, and dispose of them at a licensed disposal facility. The town will load the leaves into the contractor’s trucks, while the contractor must provide the labor and equipment needed for hauling and must include pricing for hauling, disposal, container size, and disposal fees for direct hauls by Town of Vernon vehicles. The contractor will be called as needed during one leaf collection season, typically October through December 2026, with a possible one-year extension. The proposal must include comparable municipal references for four or more municipalities, bid security of at least five percent of the total bid, and compliance with specified insurance, safety, property-protection, documentation, and applicable regulatory requirements.
