The City of Sandy Springs intends to award a sole-source contract to Georgia Safe Sidewalks for evaluating and removing sidewalk vertical displacements and trip hazards. The work uses Precision Concrete Cutting’s patented horizontal saw-cutting equipment and method to remove raised concrete while leaving adjacent slabs undisturbed, producing smooth transitions intended to improve pedestrian safety and ADA accessibility. The proposed services include identifying hazards, removing concrete debris, sweeping and cleaning repaired areas, recycling removed concrete, providing daily progress summaries, documenting locations with satellite mapping, and reporting issues that cannot be corrected through the process. The estimated sole-source contract value is $75,000. The posting permits written challenges from suppliers that can meet the stated requirements before the public-notice closing deadline.
