Description
Fulton County Department of Public Works is soliciting water meter testing and repair services for meters ranging from 1 1/2 inches to 12 inches, including positive displacement, compound, fire service, and reuse meters. The contractor must test units within five business days of a service request, perform bench or in-place testing as specified, repair noncompliant meters at the County’s direction, provide necessary repair parts, calibrate and retest repaired meters, and coordinate service disruptions with customers. Work must comply with applicable AWWA standards, including AWWA Manual M6. The contractor must provide twice-yearly calibration certification for testing equipment, a certified test report within two weeks of service, one-year parts and workmanship coverage, and services outside normal business hours when required at no additional cost. A Georgia utility contractor’s license is required. The bid includes per-meter testing prices, an hourly repair and retesting rate, and an allowance for repair parts.
