Description
The City of Alpharetta is soliciting competitive bids from qualified contractors to pressure wash approximately 85,950 square feet of existing brick paver sidewalks at specified downtown locations, remove gum, dirt, and stains, and re-sand cleaned joints with polymeric sand. The work includes complete collection, reclamation, and proper disposal of wastewater, sediment, debris, detergents, cleaning agents, and other pollutants. Chemicals are prohibited, and no wastewater or debris may enter storm drains, waterways, streets, gutters, or other unauthorized locations. The contractor must provide the required labor, materials, equipment, water, pedestrian-safety measures, signage, traffic control, and approved traffic-control plans. Equipment requirements include a pressure washer of at least 3,000 psi and 4 gallons per minute, a wand with multiple nozzle sizes, a rotary surface cleaner, and a water tank of at least 200 gallons. The contractor must perform at least 90% of the work with its own organization, submit a bid bond equal to 5% of the bid total, and provide proof of current insurance with the bid. The bid package includes a technical bid, pricing sheet, questionnaire, bid bond, E-Verify affidavit, disclosure and certification form, and IRS Form W-9.
