Description
The City of Phoenix is requesting qualifications for engineering services for the Laveen Flood Mitigation Program (GO BOND). This program aims to implement comprehensive flood management solutions across multiple sites within the city, involving the design and construction of new storm drain systems, detention basins, and high-capacity inlets. The estimated total construction cost for this project is $8.9 million. The scope of work includes a detailed design phase, which involves site investigations, hydrological and hydraulic studies, and the development of detailed engineering designs, construction plans, specifications, and cost estimates. The consultant will also be responsible for right-of-way services, public outreach, and post-design services such as assisting with contractor procurement and reviewing requests for information. Additionally, the project may include construction administration and inspection services to ensure compliance with design specifications and standards. The use of UNIFIER, a web-based project management database, may be required. The project locations include 15th Avenue (Dobbins Road to Olney Avenue), Lindo Park Storm Drain Connection, and 35th Avenue and Olney Conveyance Improvements. Firms will be selected based on qualifications, with evaluation criteria including the design and construction administration experience of the prime firm and key personnel, project understanding and approach, staffing information, and reference checks.
