Description
The City of Warwick is soliciting bids for the purchase of Aldrich School at 789 Post Road. Bidders must provide a purchase price for the property and may submit bids for three development scenarios: keeping the building, an A-7 conventional single-family subdivision, and a PDR overlay. A conceptual development sketch is required for subdivision or PDR proposals, but not when the building is preserved. Non-residential uses will not be accepted. The bid package requires a $100,000 bid deposit with each submission, along with the completed acknowledgment of addenda, certification and warrant form, and bid pricing information. The selected bidder may be chosen based on the highest bid, the proposed project type, or a combination of those factors. The package also includes background cost estimates for hazardous-material abatement and demolition, but those estimates are not the primary requested scope of this property-purchase solicitation.
