Description
The Town of Agawam is seeking a qualified Massachusetts real estate broker to act as the Town’s seller’s agent for a tax-foreclosed, Town-owned property. Services include marketing the property through MLS and online platforms, conducting showings, responding to inquiries, negotiating with Town officials, coordinating with legal counsel and title companies, and assisting through final closing and disposition. Applicants must hold a current Massachusetts real estate broker license in good standing, have at least 10 years of brokerage experience, maintain a place of business within five miles of the Town, provide professional references, and comply with specified conflict-of-interest and certification requirements. The Town will pay a fixed 3% commission to the listing agent and 3% to the buyer’s agent upon successful closing, with no additional commissions, fees, or expenses. Selection is qualifications-based among eligible applicants, followed by a public lottery.
