Description
The University of Alaska seeks a qualified insurance carrier to provide basic life insurance, accidental death and dismemberment (AD&D) insurance, and supplemental life insurance for eligible employees and benefit-eligible dependents. Basic life coverage is non-contributory, with a $100,000 benefit and an insured waiver of premium for total disability. Voluntary employee-paid supplemental life coverage is available in increments up to $600,000 with guaranteed-issue provisions, alongside voluntary AD&D coverage. The program must ensure continuity of existing coverage and elections without re-underwriting or coverage gaps. The carrier must provide online tools, including an employer portal for claims tracking, reporting, and management, an online forms library, and administrative support compatible with the university's benefit enrollment and eligibility processes. The procurement also seeks competitive multi-year fixed-rate guarantees aligned with the State of Alaska fiscal year, along with contractual performance guarantees.
