Description
The Kentucky League of Cities seeks a firm to broker reinsurance placements for its liability, cyber, and workers’ compensation programs, excluding direct placements, and to provide ongoing consulting. Brokerage work includes marketing coverage to reinsurance markets, supporting underwriting submissions, reviewing agreements and invoices, monitoring claims, and providing runoff services. Consulting includes recommendations on program structure, placements, limits, and retentions; catastrophe modeling at least every other year; and advice on coverage gaps, market developments, and regulatory changes. The firm must also provide an annual stewardship report, meet with management at least quarterly, and develop and carry out an annual renewal marketing and service plan. Proposals must include a fee schedule with separate costs for liability and workers’ compensation services, a grand total, compensation and billing details, and separate pricing for optional services. Responses should also address firm qualifications and experience, at least three references from pools served by the proposed account team in the past five years, key personnel and resumes, an organizational chart, a work plan, and a copy of the proposed written agreement. The initial contract term is January 1, 2027, through January 1, 2028, with up to six additional one-year renewals at KLC’s option. The firm must carry at least $10 million in professional liability insurance under the contract.
