Description
The Matanuska-Susitna Borough seeks a qualified contractor to provide special inspections and testing as construction progresses on a new household hazardous waste building. The scope includes observing concrete placement, collecting concrete cylinders for strength testing, inspecting metal-building frame bolts, and performing other inspections required by the project specifications and drawings. The contractor must provide the labor, equipment, materials, supervision, and testing laboratory needed to perform the work, coordinate with the general contractor and Borough personnel, and document inspection and test results. The scope also includes witnessing mechanical and electrical systems testing to verify proper operation and readiness for facility turnover. Inspection records must be uploaded to the Borough’s Projectmates system, and the contractor must provide final signed inspection and test reports. The project documents identify substantial completion by December 31, 2028, and final completion by February 28, 2029.
