Description
The City seeks excess workers’ compensation insurance coverage for its self-insured workers’ compensation program. Proposals must be based on the current policy and provide at least the same level of coverage. The requested quotes include specific excess coverage at four retention levels ($750,000, $1,000,000, $1,250,000, and $1,500,000), with options for a $10,000,000 workers’ compensation limit or statutory limits, and a $1,000,000 employers’ liability limit. Pricing is requested for 2027 and optionally for 2028; the contract is for one year with one optional renewal year, and the new contract is to take effect January 1, 2027. Respondents must be licensed carriers, eligible self-insurance pools, or qualifying non-admitted carriers, and insurers must have a minimum A rating from Best. The submission also calls for company history and experience information, financial and rating documentation, a sample standard contract, three references from organizations of similar size, and completed proposal worksheets and forms. A mandatory market-assignment form must be submitted separately before the proposal response.
