Description
The Schenectady Municipal Housing Authority is soliciting bids from one licensed insurance agent or broker to obtain commercial automobile liability insurance for the Authority's owned, hired, and non-owned vehicles. Required coverage includes a $1,000,000 combined single limit, $50,000 uninsured or underinsured motorist coverage, and a $2,000,000 excess auto liability policy. The policy must name the Authority and specified personnel as insureds and include required cancellation-notice and semiannual loss-run provisions. The contract is a firm-fixed-price agreement for one year beginning December 1, 2026, with premiums payable annually. Bidders must use the provided bid price form and quote owned automobile, non-owned automobile, excess auto, and total annual premium amounts. The selected insurer must be authorized in New York and meet specified financial-rating requirements; the agent or broker must also be licensed or authorized in New York. Bids are evaluated on the lowest total annual premium. Addendum #1 replaces Attachment C, Currently Valued Loss Runs, with updated loss-run information covering the Authority's automobile insurance history.
