Description
The West Virginia Department of Health, Bureau for Public Health, is offering up to $25,000 through a subrecipient grant agreement to support a Local Health Officer Training for up to 40 individuals from local health departments—specifically one health officer and one administrator per department. Eligible funding uses include registration, lodging, and other training-related costs for attendees, speakers, and training-support staff. The grantee must conduct a full-day training by November 20, 2026, covering topics such as public health legal concepts and policy change, local health officer responsibilities under 64CSR7, Food Is Medicine, and public health preparedness and response to H5N1. Required deliverables include certificates of training for attendees, an itemized invoice identifying participants and associated costs, and continuing medical education credits. Applications must include a statement of work, detailed line-item budget, budget instructions, budget narrative/justification, and a signed Subrecipient Information Form (DHHR Finance A-1000).
