Description
The Town of Cheshire is soliciting proposals for a vendor to operate a self-contained mobile ice cream or food concession at Town parks and other recreational facilities during the April-to-October seasons of 2027 and 2028. The vendor must provide its own equipment and utilities, submit a proposed menu and prices, maintain vending areas in a clean and safe condition, remove carts, vehicles, equipment, and refuse daily, and comply with applicable Town vending ordinances, food-truck zoning requirements, Connecticut laws, and health-permit requirements. The minimum proposal is $5,250 for each contract year. The solicitation requires proposal forms, legal-status and equal-employment certifications, a non-collusion affidavit, at least three references, and applicable insurance documentation. The selected vendor must maintain specified general liability, automobile liability, umbrella, workers' compensation, and employers' liability coverage, with the Town named as an additional insured. Subcontracting, transfer, or assignment of the obligations is prohibited.
