Description
The City of Waterbury is soliciting sealed bids for reconstruction of approximately 6,740 linear feet of sidewalk along Lakewood Road. The work includes new five- and eight-inch Portland cement concrete sidewalks, pedestrian ramps with detectable warning surfaces, concrete and granite curbs, driveway aprons, pavement restoration, grass restoration, drainage structure adjustments and replacements, survey monuments, utility adjustments, traffic signs and pavement markings, ornamental railing and gates, bridge rail, guiderail work, and maintenance and protection of traffic. The project also includes traffic signal improvements at Lakewood Road and Wolcott Road (Route 69), including pedestrian signal equipment, pedestrian push buttons, signal detectors, conduit and wiring, traffic signal modifications, signage, and related temporary traffic control. Bidders must submit a completed Bid Form, Addendum Acknowledgment Form, Bid Bond or other acceptable bid security equal to 10% of the total bid price, required contract-compliance documents, a Contractor's Qualification Statement, a Non-Collusive Affidavit, and the required state SBE/MBE and CHRO documentation. The estimated project value is $2,000,000 to $3,000,000, and the project has 100% state funding.
