Description
Ventura Port District is soliciting sealed bids for the complete replacement of the propulsion system on Harbor Patrol Boat 1. The scope includes ordering and delivering one Volvo Penta D2-75 commercial marine engine, installing the equipment, and completing the boat's repower, restoration, and reassembly. The successful bidder must deliver the boat in a fully assembled, operational, and mission-ready condition; provide operational orientation and written and verbal engine break-in instructions; provide recommended operating ranges and RPM limitations during the break-in period; and furnish manufacturer warranty documentation. Equipment and materials must be warranted for at least one year, without reducing the manufacturer's warranty. The project is treated as public works and includes prevailing-wage, apprenticeship, licensing, Department of Industrial Relations registration, insurance, and subcontractor compliance requirements. The vendor agreement term runs from the effective date through June 30, 2027.
