Description
Pasco County is soliciting one contractor to replace an existing wooden observation dock with a floating observation dock and kayak launch. The work includes demolition, sheet-pile installation and concrete cap, support piles, a concrete approach, aluminum gangway with kayak slide, floating dock components, grading, dredging, upland spoil disposal, and final finishes. The contractor must provide all labor, materials, equipment, permits not obtained by the County, delivery, debris removal, supervision, and related work required by the plans and specifications. The project includes erosion and turbidity controls, dewatering, performance turf, revetment and geoweb systems, environmental protection measures for manatees and eastern indigo snakes, and compliance with applicable FDOT, NPDES, FDEP, and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers requirements. A Florida Certified General Contractor is required. The bid package requires a completed bid table, Bid Proposal-Offeror Form, Florida Trench Safety Act Certification and Disclosure Statement, Conflict of Interest Disclosure, Certification of Understanding, and a bid bond equal to at least 5% of the total bid price. The anticipated construction schedule requires commencement within 60 calendar days of County approval of the Agreement and Substantial Completion within 180 calendar days after issuance of the Notice to Proceed.
