Description
The City of Watsonville is soliciting bids for replacement of the damaged dock at Pinto Lake. The work includes mobilization and site preparation; demolition, removal, hauling, and disposal of approximately 235 linear feet of existing dock panels and floating devices; and installation of a new EZ Dock system or approved equal. The completed system includes floating dock sections, piling brackets, a shoreline abutment kit, bumpers, edging, tie-up cleats, couplers, a 60-inch-wide gangway, transition and roller components, and associated hardware. Contractors must coordinate site access and City crews, maintain public safety and traffic access, comply with environmental best management practices, verify utilities, and provide all labor, materials, equipment, permits, licenses, and incidentals. The engineer's estimate is $170,000. The successful contractor must provide performance and labor-and-material payment bonds, each for 100% of the contract sum, and meet specified insurance requirements.
