Description
The SHARP Program will fund one organization to develop three distinct clinical trainings for primary care providers on sexual health care for adults age 50 and older. The trainings must address affirming sexual history-taking, HIV and STI prevention and treatment, routine opt-out HIV and STI screening, PrEP and PEP, clinical workflows, and person-centered care. Each training must be deliverable in live in-person, live virtual, and self-paced online formats, with facilitation guides, assessments, CME accreditation, and supporting materials. The selected organization must also develop two provider-facing resources and one patient-facing resource, with the patient resource translated into Spanish, French, and Haitian Creole. The scope includes community engagement with at least 20 older adults and at least two primary care provider subject-matter experts, outreach and landscape analysis, training promotion and delivery, data collection and reporting, linkages to NYC Health Department resources, and ongoing program administration. Applicants must be New York not-for-profit corporations with 501(c)(3) status, a brick-and-mortar operating site in one of New York City's five boroughs, and at least three years of relevant experience. Subcontractors must directly deliver the services and may not subcontract, although certain consultant agreements are permitted with prior written approval.
