Description
The City of Tucson Environmental Services Department is seeking one or more contractors to provide regular and on-call citywide cleanup support. Services include rapid response to illegal dumping and public safety incidents, removal of refuse from homeless encampments, roadside and transportation-corridor litter abatement, storm damage and post-incident cleanup, hazardous-material and biohazard handling, and support for neighborhood, community, and business-district cleanup events. The contractor must furnish trained personnel, vehicles, equipment, supplies, disposal services, traffic-control measures, personal protective equipment, safety programs, and all required permits and licenses. Work may require same-day or 24-hour response, completion within two business days of a work order, electronic reporting with before-and-after photographs, and disposal of collected materials. The contract is for one year with up to four additional one-year extensions. Pricing is based primarily on hourly rates for field staff, supervisors, and clerical staff, with evaluation based on price, qualifications and experience, and method of approach.
