Description
The City of Tucson is soliciting machine shop services, component parts, and engine repairs for municipal fleet vehicles and Tucson Water equipment. The scope includes cylinder head rebuilding, valve and seat replacement, machining, pressure testing, resurfacing, component repair, and long-block overhaul services for Chevrolet, Waukesha, Caterpillar, Ford, General Motors, and Ram/Dodge engine platforms, including natural-gas industrial engines and light-duty gasoline engines. The solicitation requests pricing for common services such as hot-tank cleaning, Magnaflux testing, cylinder boring and honing, valve work, parts pickup and delivery, labor, and discounts on unlisted services and items. The contractor must have local maintenance facilities or specific third-party arrangements with trained technicians and sufficient parts inventory. The agreement has a one-year initial term with four additional one-year renewal periods at the City's option.
