Description

The City of Tucson is soliciting bids for construction of the Sahuara Bicycle Boulevard and Copper/Flower Bicycle Boulevard under Plan No. U-2025-048. The work includes traffic calming, speed humps, traffic circles, chicanes, concrete curbs, sidewalks, curb access ramps, driveway aprons, traffic signals and modifications, BikeHAWK beacons, pavement markings and signs, utility impacts, and landscaping. The project includes approximately 1.8 miles of work from 14th Street to Golf Links Road and approximately 5.9 miles from Fairview Avenue to Swan Road, with work performed in public rights-of-way and related easements. The contractor must provide labor, materials, equipment, supervision, traffic control, construction sequencing, quality control, permits, utility coordination, and compliance with FHWA, ADOT, Davis-Bacon, Buy America/Build America, DBE-neutral, and other federal requirements. The contract includes 180 calendar days for the construction phase followed by a 24-month landscape establishment period. Bidders must submit the bid schedule, signed Offer and Acceptance Form, bid security, subcontractor listing, and any applicable SBE/DBE plan through the City's online bidding system. The apparent low bidder must later submit the Contractor Responsibility Form; this post-opening form is not part of the initial bid package.
