Description
The City of St. Helens is soliciting sealed bids for the Park Street Water Main Replacement project, Project No. W-487. The work includes installing more than 520 linear feet of 6-inch Class 52 ductile iron water main, new gate valves, a permanent blow-off assembly, fittings, bends, tees, and related appurtenances. It also includes removing and replacing a fire hydrant assembly, reconnecting ten water services, abandoning the existing water main in place, and installing, maintaining, and removing temporary traffic-control and erosion-control measures. Additional work includes rock excavation, roadway paving, and removal and replacement of existing landscaping and concrete surfaces. The project is subject to Oregon prevailing-wage requirements and applicable public-works laws. Bidders must be licensed by the Oregon Construction Contractors Board or State Landscape Contractors Board, be listed on the City's Official Plan Holder List, and submit a 10% bid security. The successful bidder must provide 100% performance and labor-and-material payment bonds, a $30,000 public-works bond, insurance evidence, and a City business license. Final completion is scheduled for June 30, 2027.
