Description
Southwest Independent School District is seeking proposals for one or more contractors to provide mental health services, resources, and training. Eligible service areas include evidence-based direct clinical therapy for students, families, and staff; mental health resources; and training for district staff, students, caregivers, families, and community members. Therapy may be individual, group, or family-based and may use face-to-face, teletherapy, hybrid, or another district-approved delivery model. The scope also includes treatment planning and evaluation, psychiatric referrals, crisis response, outreach, case consultation, home visits as needed, culturally and linguistically appropriate care, and collaboration with district and community partners. Contractors must provide qualified licensed professionals, comply with district referral and consent procedures, FERPA, HIPAA, background-screening requirements, and applicable school policies. Training topics may include trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, dialectical behavior therapy, solution-focused brief therapy, and cognitive behavioral therapy, with materials provided to attendees. Vendors must provide recurring service, outcome, staffing, time-and-effort, grant, and school-related performance reports. The district may make multiple awards, does not guarantee a minimum or maximum quantity of services, and will negotiate pricing if it elects to use an awarded vendor. A certificate of insurance is required with the proposal, and no bid bond is required.
