The U.S. Air Force is seeking a small-business contractor to troubleshoot, repair, and restore eight portable chiller units at Joint Base San Antonio Lackland and Fort Sam Houston. The work includes full diagnostics, pressure and refrigerant leak detection, targeted component replacement, and post-repair performance validation to return the units to manufacturer specifications. Lackland units are operating at approximately 50% capacity, while two Fort Sam Houston units are non-operational. The contractor must provide all labor, materials, tools, transportation, and technical expertise necessary to diagnose, repair, test, and restore the chillers. Funds are not presently available, and no award will be made until funding is available; the government reserves the right to cancel the solicitation. The acquisition is a total small-business set-aside for a refrigeration, air-conditioning, and air-circulating equipment maintenance and repair requirement. Amendment FA301626R00350001 extends the proposal deadline to October 22, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. CDT; a further amendment is expected while the government prepares questions and answers and updates the Performance Work Statement.
