Description
Northside Independent School District is soliciting proposals for semi-annual inspection and maintenance of automatic fire suppression systems serving main kitchens, culinary arts kitchens, ALE kitchens, and other kitchens throughout the District. The contractor must provide labor, supervision, tools, transportation, equipment, and materials; replace fusible links semi-annually and safety seal caps annually; perform inspections in accordance with NFPA 17A and applicable state and local codes; and hold Texas State Fire Marshal certifications, manufacturer certifications, and Ansul Factory certification for R-102 system service. Inspections will occur twice annually, with the first round in January after regular business hours and the second round in July during regular business hours. Required work includes system and component testing, cleaning, chemical and cylinder checks, coverage verification, tagging, deficiency reporting, and minor repairs up to 10% of the system device count without prior approval. The contractor must submit typewritten inspection reports within 7–10 days after each inspection and obtain District approval before performing additional repairs outside the contract scope. The contract is for one year with four additional one-year renewal options and replaces the expiring fire suppression maintenance contract RFP 2023-192.
