Description
North East Independent School District is seeking a full-service contractor to furnish, install, stock, operate, maintain, repair, refill, and ultimately remove snack vending machines throughout the district. The scope covers approximately 130 existing machines across about 67 district locations, with additional satellite facilities, and includes delivery and removal of machines, 24-hour response to service calls, same-day or next-morning refill service, machine cleaning and maintenance, refunds for failed transactions, and monthly sales and commission reporting. Elementary schools will have machines in teachers' lounges, while middle and high school machines must comply with USDA competitive-food requirements and operating-time restrictions. The solicitation is for snack food vending only; beverage products will not be accepted. Proposed products must meet specified nutrition standards, include nutrition labels, and receive district approval before placement. Vendors must also provide machine specifications, proposed snack products and nutrition labels, a remuneration schedule, incentives, and a sample monthly vending activity report. The initial contract term is three years with two additional one-year renewals, for a maximum of five years.
