Description
Bexar County Juvenile Probation Department seeks a service provider to implement the Grow Together Youth & Family Vaping Diversion Program for approximately 25–30 middle-school-aged youth annually and their families. The program targets first- or second-time school-based THC vape possession incidents involving no other offense referrals and must provide a structured, evidence-based, developmentally informed, family-centered alternative to formal processing. Required services include screening and comprehensive initial assessments, individualized youth and family service plans, home-based supports, family engagement, case management, transportation assistance, behavioral-health referrals, randomized drug testing, cannabis awareness and prevention curriculum, progress and outcome reporting, non-attendance documentation, discharge planning, and follow-up. Proposals must also describe staffing qualifications, relevant prior experience and references, a grievance process, successful-completion criteria, necessary products and services, and hourly unit rates. The anticipated budget is $126,940 per year of service, with an initial contract term from December 1, 2026, through September 30, 2027, and possible extensions by mutual written agreement.
