Description
The Utah Department of Transportation seeks an operator for year-round, regularly scheduled intercity bus service on the Blanding and Vernal corridors. Proposers may bid on either route or both. Service must run at least one round trip daily, seven days a week, including holidays, and connect with the national intercity bus network through interline ticketing and coordinated schedules. The contractor must provide vehicles, equipment, staffing, maintenance, marketing, passenger information, and required reporting. Vehicles must be wheelchair-accessible and meet specified safety, signage, technology, and passenger amenity requirements. The scope also includes emergency and service-disruption planning, fare proposals, route schedules and stop details, and compliance with federal and state requirements. The contract is for five years with no renewal options. Cost proposals are submitted separately, by invitation, after technical evaluation.
