Description
Hancock County is seeking a contractor to operate countywide public transportation services using a fleet of nine county-owned vehicles. The scope includes advanced-reservation, origin-to-destination demand-response transportation throughout the county; shared-ride service; and connections to IndyGo bus stops or stations near the county line. Service is expected to operate Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., subject to funding-related changes. The contractor must receive and dispatch ride requests, schedule and complete trips, employ trained and qualified operators, maintain accessible and well-maintained vehicles, comply with ADA, federal transit, drug and alcohol, safety, civil-rights, and reporting requirements, and provide monthly operational statistics. The contractor must also provide management and staffing plans, a data-collection methodology, customer-service and training approaches, three professional references, required certifications and forms, insurance certificates, and pricing for the base term and option years. The contract term is three years with two optional one-year extensions.
