Description
The Susquehanna Regional Transportation Authority, in consultation with the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation Bureau of Public Transportation, is soliciting turnkey intercity bus service providers for one or more Pennsylvania corridors. Services must operate fixed routes open to the public at two one-way trips per day, seven days per week, for 52 weeks per year, with meaningful connections to regional and national transportation networks, including interline ticketing where applicable. The successful provider must supply and maintain compliant vehicles and equipment; operate scheduled service; provide accessible, safe, clean, reliable, and customer-focused transportation; maintain operating authority, permits, licenses, insurance, records, and reports; coordinate with local transit authorities and connecting carriers; market the service; support ticketing and passenger-information systems; and implement performance monitoring and contingency procedures. Proposals must include technical and operational responses, pricing by proposed route, required certifications and forms, a signed letter of introduction, financial and insurance information, and at least six professional references. The solicitation provides a maximum program allocation of $5,950,000 for the 2027–2028 contract period but does not guarantee that the full amount will be awarded or expended.
