Description
Richmond Public Schools is seeking multiple qualified vendors for fixed-price, as-needed charter bus services supporting student, staff, and chaperone transportation for local, regional, and out-of-town field trips, athletic events, academic competitions, and other school-related activities. Pick-up and drop-off points will be within the City of Richmond. Services include planning and scheduling trips, providing full-size charter buses, motor coaches, mini-coaches, and shuttles with properly licensed drivers and bus captains when appropriate, and accommodating passengers with disabilities. Offerors must describe their fleet, maintenance and safety programs, driver hiring and training practices, scheduling and cancellation policies, contingency plans, relevant experience, and performance and safety records. Pricing must cover daily, mileage, and additional-hour rates for specified vehicle types and standardized trip scenarios, inclusive of fuel, drivers, relay drivers, bus captains, gratuities, and other service costs. The initial contract term is 24 months, with four successive one-year renewal periods available at the buyer's discretion. Proposals must include a narrative proposal, a separately submitted pricing schedule, required portal questionnaire responses, at least three references, and applicable certifications and supporting information.
