Description
The San Antonio Water System seeks as-needed charter bus transportation for agency events and programs, including employee orientation workshops, teacher and educator workshops, student field trips, and special events. The contractor must provide 29-passenger minibuses and 55-passenger-or-larger coach buses as requested, with qualified drivers and vehicles meeting the stated safety, communication, climate-control, and accessibility requirements. Larger coaches must have a clean, operational restroom and a kneeling feature or equivalent; wheelchair-accessible transportation must be provided when requested. The contract has a one-year initial term beginning January 1, 2027, with up to four additional one-year renewals by mutual agreement and a possible month-to-month extension of up to six months. Services are ordered as needed, with at least 24 hours' notice. Bidders must provide at least three recent, relevant project references with contact information. Award is intended for the responsive, responsible bidder offering the overall lowest price. Insurance is required, with detailed coverage requirements in the attached specifications; insurance certificates are required from the apparent successful contractor after selection, not with the bid.
