Description
The University of Utah U Facilities Office is soliciting a contractor for the abatement of lead-contaminated surfaces in a basement at 110 S. 1452 E., Salt Lake City, Utah. The project has an estimated construction cost of $150,000, is awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, and includes no additive alternates. Substantial completion is required 60 days after the notice to proceed. A mandatory pre-bid meeting and site visit is required. Bidders must submit a 5% bid bond with the electronic bid. Because the estimated bid exceeds $100,000, the successful bidder must furnish 100% performance and payment bonds upon contract execution. Bids and separate, non-embedded attachments must be submitted through BidNet Direct. The subcontractor list is due by email within 24 hours of bid opening. The contractor is responsible for applicable licensing, permits, fugitive-dust-plan requirements, and stormwater-pollution-prevention-plan requirements.
