Description
Sonoma-Marin Area Rail Transit is soliciting sealed bids from qualified, licensed, and experienced contractors to repair and return an out-of-service grade-crossing warning system to operation. The work includes removing existing cantilever masts on both sides of the crossing, installing a District-furnished 26-foot cantilever and mast, and furnishing, installing, wiring, tagging, and testing miscellaneous warning-system components, signage, and batteries. The project also includes traffic control, inspection, complete testing and commissioning, and removal and disposal of out-of-service batteries. The engineer’s estimate is $100,000. The solicitation is identified as an Invitation for Bid, and bids are due October 16, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. Pacific time.
