Description
The Itawamba County Railroad Authority is soliciting construction bids for repairs to the Mississippian Railway washout at Beans Ferry. The project includes approximately one lump sum of mobilization, 2,160 track feet of track resurfacing, 750 tons of ballast, 25 linear feet of drainage pipe removal, 2,160 linear feet of special linear grading for ditch grading, and 1,296 cross-tie replacements. The cross-tie replacements are identified as FEMA non-participating, while the remaining listed work is identified as FEMA participating. Bidders must obtain or examine the contract documents, register on the designated plan room, and submit either sealed paper bids or electronic bids through the online bid system. A bid bond is required in the amount, form, and under the conditions specified in the Information for Bidders; electronically submitted bids require either an electronically issued surety bond or delivery of the original hard-copy bid bond before bid opening. The award will be made to the lowest or best responsible, responsive bidder.
